After delivering my second child, I began experiencing heavy bleeding just a few days postpartum. I was losing a lot of blood and quickly called an ambulance. I was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, where everything quickly became overwhelming.

In the ER, multiple ob residents and ob hospitalists evaluated me and urgently recommended surgery—including a hysterectomy. I was devastated.
